Press-on nail care kit and accessories

How to remove press-on nails without forcing them

Removal should be patient and gentle. Pulling or peeling a press-on from a firmly attached natural nail can cause avoidable surface damage.

Start by checking the adhesive

Follow the directions supplied with your adhesive. Tabs and glue can require different removal methods, and decorated sets may need extra care.

Loosen the edges gradually

Use warm water and an appropriate removal product as directed. Allow time for the bond to soften. Work around the perimeter slowly rather than lifting from one corner with force.

Never pry through resistance

If the set does not release easily, stop and continue soaking or follow the adhesive maker's removal instructions. Avoid sharp metal tools under the nail.

After removal

Gently remove remaining residue, wash and dry your hands, and moisturize the surrounding skin. Give the natural nail a break if it feels tender or looks stressed.

Always prioritize the instructions for the specific adhesive you used.
